Guest Post - Glowbeauty by Natalia

Have you been thinking about starting some kind of skin regimen or getting a facial to prepare for your wedding but you just don’t know where to start? You’ll enjoy today’s blog post!

We interviewed Natalia of Glowbeauty by Natalia and she is breaking down a schedule of what to do and when. She also lets us know which treatments to do right before the wedding, and which ones to avoid at all cost!

Tell us a little about you and your business!

Glowbeauty is a full aesthetics clinic offering advanced facial protocols, chemical peels, Botox, filler, lash extensions, body treatments as well as professional makeup service.

What should brides (or grooms) start doing NOW to get their skin ready for the wedding day?

I highly suggest that brides and grooms start getting monthly facials to prepare for the big day, as well as start on a skincare regimen at home.

What are the most important skincare products to use?

The most important skincare products to use are a cleanser (appropriate for your skin type), moisturizer or serum, and SPF!

Yes, SPF is huge! Do you have a schedule of treatments and/or procedures you suggest a bride does? For example, what to do 1 year before the wedding? 6 months? Is there something you would do monthly?

It all depends on the bride’s needs. Typically 6 months before we can do chemical peels or microneedling to improve the skin’s texture and tone. Then, monthly facials at least 3 months before the big day.

What is the best treatment or procedure to do the week of the wedding? Is there anything you suggest NOT doing the week of the wedding?

The week of the wedding, my signature facial with dermaplaning and mask is one of my brides’ favorite treatments! Invasive treatments, like Botox Fillers or chemical peels SHOULD NOT be done the week of the wedding.

Have you seen any skin horror stories because of things seen on TikTok/social media?

Yes! One of my brides went to someone to get her face waxed for the wedding, she ended up with hives and minor burns around her face.

What would you say is something a lot of people don’t know about aestheticians but should? Any misconceptions?

Seeing an aesthetician is not considered a beauty trend like some people think. We are skincare professionals who specialize in treating multiple skin concerns and we are actually able to help and treat a lot more than you may think.

There is so much misinformation out there and I hope you found our chat helpful. If you are in the Metrowest area in Massachusetts, reach out to Natalia and her team to get started on your skincare!
