I believe that your wedding invitations are so much more than “just paper”—they’re a chance to tell your love story and hint at the experience that awaits your guests. And of course, they’re also a keepsake that you’ll return to for decades to come.
On this blog, I take you behind the scenes in my studio to explain the custom stationery process and show you hand-painted invitation suites I’ve created for couples like you.

Today I want to highlight this beautiful mountain-themed invitation suite that I created for a styled shoot. This suite has so many beautiful elements that I absolutely loved! Deckled edges, wax seal, ribbons, vintage stamps, and an Audubon envelope liner. Let’s take a closer look.

I painted the watercolor background of the main invitation card. It was inspired by the woods and mountains of Vermont. We then printed it on 100% cotton paper and deckled the edges.

I did all of the spot calligraphy by hand and then digitized it
The envelope liner is a lithograph by John James Audubon. The colors and theme worked beautifully for this suite.

We then finalized it with vintage stamps and calligraphy guest addressing in green ink matching the invitation.
