I believe that your wedding invitations are so much more than “just paper”—they’re a chance to tell your love story and hint at the experience that awaits your guests. And of course, they’re also a keepsake that you’ll return to for decades to come.
On this blog, I take you behind the scenes in my studio to explain the custom stationery process and show you hand-painted invitation suites I’ve created for couples like you.

What can a wedding stationer help you with? A wedding stationer can be much more than just an invitation creator and printer. You may think that all we can do for you is design your invitations, print them, and send them off. While there are some stationers who do work that way, we at Priscilla Basilio Design Studio are here to help you in many other ways! That is one of the perks of working with us versus just finding a template online.
I understand this process can be overwhelming and confusing. When I got married a few years ago, I had no clue how invitations worked, how many cards I needed, how to word invitations, or how to mail them off. That is why we are passionate about helping you in many different ways. So, let’s break down all the ways a wedding stationer can help you.
On our first 30-minute consult, we’ll explain how everything works so you are not confused about our process.
While we won’t sit with you and go over your entire wedding budget in-depth, we do help you figure out how much couples usually spend on their wedding stationery in general, and how much PBDS couples spend so that you can get a general idea of how much you “should” spend.
We will also encourage you to never feel pressured to spend a certain amount. Though we truly believe our stationery is an investment and an heirloom to be cherished forever, we would never want you to spend more than you are comfortable with and regret it later.

We also tell you which cards you DON’T need, and some you may have actually forgotten about!
Many couples are confused about how many invitations to order. We can help you decide on the number according to your guest count and a few other factors.
We are the experts so, if you trust us with your vision and give us enough to go off of, we can take your vision and transform it into the invitations you’ve been dreaming of!
This goes hand in hand with your budget so, once we know what your budget is and what your style preferences are, we can help you find the right paper and printing types.
While there are certain rules for when to mail your wedding invitations, you may have certain reasons why you need to mail them earlier or later than the recommended timeline.
We do all of the assembly for your invitations to help save you time and stress.
We also send you extra sets of your invitations, a pristine set with all the bells and whistles as a keepsake, and 2 other pristine sets for your photographer. That way you don’t have to worry about keeping some or remembering to bring them with you, we do all the work!
If you want to elevate your wedding, make sure it has a cohesive look. We can help with that by making sure you order all of the day-of stationery on time and that it all has the same font or calligraphy, color palette, and watercolor designs.
I am a calligrapher so I can also calligraph place cards, menus, wedding signs, vow books, etc all by hand so they have a more personal touch.
We understand you are very busy. Between work, wedding planning, and life, it’s hard to find pockets of time to do all of this. We can one-on-one with your wedding planner to take as much off your plate as possible.
As mentioned previously, we assemble all of your invites so you don’t have to take time away from your busy life to do that. We also ship any day-of stationery alphabetized and organized by table to help you/your planner/your venue.
These are just some of the things we love to help couples with. We truly want you to have an incredible and easy experience when you work with us. If you are still looking for wedding invitations, save the dates, or any day-of stationery, click here to reach out!
